# 31 Bauhaus Workshop **Philosophy and fit.** Give each shape, colour, and alignment a clear organising role. Useful for design schools, creative workshops, modular products, and educational programmes. **Visual grammar.** Strong rectilinear grids support circular markers, primary-colour planes, black rules, and compact grotesque typography. Asymmetry comes from purposeful spans rather than scattered objects. Red identifies workshops, blue identifies resources, and yellow identifies demonstrations, with matching text labels so colour is never the only distinction. **Specimen and flow.** _Form School_ teaches fictional making workshops. Browse a geometric programme index, open a workshop syllabus, and select a session in a local registration demonstration. Supporting views include an instructor profile and a full-session state with alternative dates. A simple shape-building exercise illustrates the school’s practical approach. **Responsive behaviour.** Grid spans collapse into a coherent reading order. Decorative geometry moves around the content rather than forcing the content into tiny compartments; the exercise includes button-based controls. **Identity rules.** Preserve geometric discipline, clear categories, and deliberate alignment. Avoid decorative primary-colour confetti or borrowing the same loose arrangement as Pop Memphis. **Effort: medium.** ## Implemented sample Form School is an expansive, bounded design reference. All organisations, events, prices, statistics and research claims are fictional fixtures. The page includes a complete primary composition and two local supporting routes that show its interaction and content hierarchy. ## Defining features - Shapes organise actual categories - Deliberate asymmetry and grid spans - Primary colours with text labels ## Adaptable choices Brand, subject, accent and equivalent licensed typefaces can change. Preserve composition and navigation. Do not turn the hierarchy into a uniform collection of cards. ## Tokens and typography Heading: Space Grotesk. Reading: DM Sans. Local WOFF2 fonts with system fallbacks. Page #eee9dc; surface #ffffff; text #252622; accent #b93627. Eight-pixel base spacing; reading measure 65ch; width 1240px. See tokens.css for role values and Demo.vue for composition. Palette and type match the working specimen. ## States - Entry: /preview/31-bauhaus-workshop/start - Workshop syllabus: /preview/31-bauhaus-workshop/workshop - Shape-building exercise: /preview/31-bauhaus-workshop/exercise ## Neighbours and adaptation - [03 Swiss Grid](../03-swiss-grid/DESIGN.md) uses rigorous typographic grid with indexed programme rows and numbered sections and day filters. This reference keeps rectilinear programme grid with geometric category markers and geometric programme index and syllabus. - [32 Pop Memphis](../32-pop-memphis/DESIGN.md) uses offset patterned collection blocks anchored by a solid navigation strip and kit selection and an ordinary bundle builder. This reference keeps rectilinear programme grid with geometric category markers and geometric programme index and syllabus. ## Assets See [asset record](../../../docs/ASSETS.md). All vector diagrams and sample writing are original to this repository. Photos are illustrative, not evidence of the fictional brands. Font faces: Space Grotesk, DM Sans. ## Verification Reviewed working sample. Browser checks cover entry-page reflow at 320, 390, 768, and 1440 pixels, keyboard entry, direct routes, and automated accessibility; both supporting routes are checked at 390 pixels. Capture metadata is stored in public/previews/31/capture.json and names the source content hash. Accessibility scans are supplementary; no formal WCAG certification or field-performance claim is made.
